Die Thailandfreunde e.V. haben nach der Rekordspende von über 20,000 Euro (800,000 THB) begonnen, verschiedene Hilfsprojekte zu unterstützen.

Anlässlich eines Konzerts in Mannheim war Diana Köster aus den Reihen der Thailandfreunde Gesprächspartnerin für ein Interview mit dem Sänger und Gitarristen Sek Loso. Besonders angetan war der aus Thailand stammende Musiker von den Aktivitäten des Vereins der Thailandfreunde, insbesondere der zahlreichen Events in den letzten Monaten, die von der thailändischen Sektion des Vereins in Chiang Mai veranstaltet wurden. Der Verein hat in der Vergangenheit zahlreiche Spenden und Hilfsgüter für die in Not geratenen Kinder in Thailand übergeben können.

Diana: What's the famoust thing for you in Germany?
Sek: German Food and Beer
Diana: You like German Beer? Not Singha or Chang?
Sek: I don't know ... I like German Beer ... Weizenbier
Diana: Last night you stayed in Frankfurt. The concert was in the near of the train-station. Do you know this?
Sek: Yes, my hotel was in the near.
Diana: Many years ago the king of Thailand visited Germany and the Frankfurt train-station and then he built this train-station in Bangkok.
Sek: Oh, really!?!
Diana: How long will you stay in Germany?
Sek: I will be here for 2 more days
Diana: And then ... do you go to the Netherlands?
Sek: I'm going to UK
Diana What do you do in UK?
Sek: Holiday
Mel: Do you have any hobbies?
Sek: No, only music
Diana: After nearly 15 years you make music, how long do you think to make your own music?
Sek: I don't know ... as long as I have fun
Diana: I saw, you have two children ... one daughter and one son, or?
Sek: Yes.
Diana: Do they also play music? Guitar or something?
Sek: Yes, they play Piano
Diana: And what kind of music?
Sek: Piano and pop-music.
Diana: I think it was 2005 - as you was last time in Germany, you said that you want to give a concert together with BIRD – Sek Loso and Bird ...
Sek: Oh, I can't remember
Diana: Do you want to do so in the future?
Sek: I' m not sure
Diana: I give you this flyer because I know you have also two children ... We have some charity events in the near of Bangkok or Chiang Mai and we would be very pleased, if you could maybe visit some charity events. Mel: What kind of movies or actor do you like?
Sek: I like piratmovies and all movies with Tom Hanks
Sek: *auf mein T-Shirt schauend*... oooh.. Dog and Cat Rescue Center of Samui.
Diana: Yes, I am working for them on Samui
Sek: Good .... very good!
Diana: I have many projects in Thailand ... for the children, for the dogs and cats. How can our organisation stay in touch with you to show you the events and ask you if you are interested to come?
